Barnsley Resort | Adairsville597 Barnsley Gardens Road Adairsville, Ga
I am happy to kick off the series with my very favorite date night this year – an escape to Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, Ga. We participated in a number of activities on the resort, which I’ll describe below. You don’t have to do them all – just what looks fun and what your pocketbook can handle. In fact, many of these things can be done even without an overnight stay!
Tour the grounds – I highly recommend touring the gardens and the ruins. Take the time to research the history before you come. It is a thrilling love story with all the makings of a Hollywood movie!
Participate in a resort activity – We picked Sporting Clays because that’s our thing. I know it doesn’t suit everyone, but you can also select from horseback riding, golf, a seriously incredible spa, and much more.
Dinner and Wine Tasting at the Rice House – There are regularly scheduled wine tasting events at Barnsley Resort. We had a magical time with a Valentine’s inspired tasting. If you happen to miss one of their special events, dinner at the Rice House is an exceptional option, also.
Overnight in the cottage – There are no typical rooms here, only lovely cottages. Ours came complete with a rolling fire in the fireplace, a claw tooth tub, and spectacular back porch.
If you are looking for more information, please read a recent article I wrote about our adventure: Barnsley Resort: a luxurious love story. I go into much more detail about the history of the estate and the fun activities.
Disclosure: I was a guest of Barnsley Resort, as a “thank you” for several articles I wrote for other outlets. I did not have to post this here, but it was INCREDIBLE and I just had to share. As always, if I didn’t think it was killer, I wouldn’t write about. #keepingitreal
