Best spots in Atlanta for a day out with the girls

atlanta girls hangouts

A’more is in the air….everyone is talking about the best place to go on a date with your main squeeze. (If you still need an idea for VDay weekend, I shared a few Romantic Getaway ideas on Access Atlanta.) This week, I want to focus on the other important people in our lives….our girlfriends! I know that I am thankful for the other women in my life….they hail from all different walks of life…they love me, challenge me, give the frank talk, and make life worth living. Here are seven places to escape with the girlfriends in your life.

Dr Bombays – Come in from the cold! Drink tea, munch on vegetarian savories and sweets, and relax in the old-world feel.

Hodgepodge Coffee House – I would go to Hodgepodge without my kiddos..it’s such a fun environment, and the coffee and treats are yummy.  But this is also a great solution for those moments that you need to hang with the girls, but you can’t get a sitter.

Eleanore’s – Have you been to the hidden bar at Muss and Turner’s yet? It is dark, quaint, and positively delightful! Pull up a seat at the bar, or catch up on the latest chit chat at a table in the corner. Killer signature cocktails!

Highland Row Antiques – Want to go shopping for the unique, crazy, crafty, and awesome?? Highland Row is super-store of killer décor with over 20 dealers …vintage, retro, and modern are all here!

Dutch Monkey Donuts – Sometimes you don’t have time for an entire day out…just an hour for coffee and donuts. NUTELLA donuts. They always ease my ailments! I might be known to go here by myself!

Café Jonah – I’ve told you about this bright and fun restaurant, with delicious eats from the renowned Souper Jenny. So fun and delicious. But without the kids, you can head upstairs to the Magical Attic. It’s filled with inspirational, books, candles, aromatherapy and yes, the occasional psychic!

Dunaway Gardens – Check the calendar…this wonderland is not open every day, but it is such a treat. Waterfalls, Japanese garden, gift shop….come see what made it a popular haven in the 20s.
