Tavernpointe’s juniper gin cocktail whispers of sloe berries and a touch of citrus. It’s exceptionally sophisticated.
I know Mardi Gras has passed, but it is always time for Cajun food if you ask me! I recommend a trip – with our without the kiddos- to Marlow’s Tavern to try the new fare.
Dantanna’s Draft Eddy is a delicious beer cocktail from Dantanna’s that is begging spring to rear her head. Start with Red Ruby vodka, then add a little sweet and tart. Shake it up and pour, then top it off with your favorite lager.
This delicious libation from O-Ku Atlanta was created by Indigo Road’s Jasmine Beck, and I’m wondering if the name isn’t a little autobiographic, as well. It starts with an infused vodka, using habaneros and ends with a unique cooling element – passionfruit.
Jalapenos and Chili. Wooo! Can you feel the heat? No worries. It is tempered with the cherries and a bit of simple syrup. This is the perfect drink for mixing with friends while dinner is still in the kitchen…or head to STK/Atlanta for the real deal.
Don Pedro is the perfect cool, after-dinner treat combining everyone’s two favorite things – ice cream and booze. The cocktail is made from Amarula, a liqueur created from the fruit of the African Marula tree along with sugar and cream. Don’t be intimidated, Amarula is easy to find in the liquor & cordial section of most full-servce package stores.
