I am thrilled to share an idea from Candice Crossfield of The Date Escape. Please give her a hearty 365 Atlanta Family welcome!
I’m so excited to be guest blogging for one of my favorite blogs so I must thank Lesli and her readers for this opportunity – THANK YOU!!
This date night recommendation really works for everyone – ladies’ night, Saturday morning with your kid, and date night – but I’ll focus on how much fun it is for the date night option. Find a local art studio that does paint classes; grab a bottle of wine or beer, and some snacks, and head over to find your inner artist. It doesn’t matter if you can paint or not, I promise. I am the least artistic person I know and even I feel like I might be related to Van Gogh after I go to one of these classes.
The instructors are patient and skilled at taking you step by step through the process. It is almost fool proof, and each time you go you get better and better. Just remember to relax and have fun. It’s date night!
Here are a list of some of the studios in and around Atlanta that offer this so you can find one close to you:
Sips n Strokes (Sandy Spring, Woodstock, Toco Hills)
Canvus by U! (Marietta)
Dip n Dab (VA Highlands)
Get Creative ATL (Mobile art studio so they come to you.)
Just for Giggles (Milton)
Expert Tip: KNOW YOUR DATE! If your date hates fancy froo-froo (technical term) food, don’t take her/him to King & Duke where they serve yummies like charred octopus salad. If your date doesn’t like smokey bars, don’t take him/her to Northside Tavern for cheap drinks, live music, and dancing.
