Living Walls Atlanta

You might have noticed a series of masterful new murals springing up over Atlanta.  These are part of a new program in the city: Living Walls Atlanta. Their mission is to educate and change the perspective about communities via street art.

They are currently working on the plan for 2014, but that gives you time to catch up on last year’s contributions!  Follow the site to their map.

With younger kids you might want to walk the areas with several murals in one area (rather than drive around.)  I’ve noticed three parts of town with larger collections….Edgewood around Blvd. … Georgia St. around Frasier…and Flat Shoals near Glenwood. My boys both enjoy these larger than life “building paintings”

Join their Facebook page (and ours.)  We’ll keep you posted on new murals for 2014!
