No time like the New Year to try something new, whether it’s a skill-building class or an educational performance. It’s also totally ok to watch a well-loved movie for the umpteenth time, too (a Frozen sing-a-long? We still haven’t let it go…). Learn about a civil rights leader, try a pasta-making class, take a swim, and get excited for all that 2017 holds.
Monthly Event Spotlight
School’s out for summer, and that means Atlanta kicks its kid-friendly programming into high gear. They won’t be bored at home with this lineup of fun, including butterflies, plays, festivals and more. Grab the sunscreen, snacks and water…and don’t forget to celebrate Dad at the end of the month, either.
In the month that includes National Kids to Parks Day, it’s easy to sense a theme: May is all about getting outside.
In most parts of the world, “April Showers Bring May Flowers,” but here in Georgia the flowers are already blooming. See tulips en masse at Atlanta Botanical Garden, which is my favorite backdrop to photograph the boys (I’m working on my 5th year!) Don’t miss some wildly anticipated fun at Woodruff with the Eric Carle exhibit, or the debut of two adorable sea lion pups at the Georgia Aquarium. Spring has sprung, everyone, and there is soooo much to do!
From St. Patrick’s Day Parades to Easter Extravaganzas, and from family-friendly arts adventures to raucous and fun sporting events, March is packed with gripping fun for everyone.
This month we are sharing a few things to do for Valentines’s Day, either as a couple or as a family (including a FUN family package from The Lodge and Spa, photographed below.) There’s a free family festival, a new show and exhibit at Fernbank and a grand Atlanta exhibit at AHC. So Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours…stay warm!
