F…4th of July Celebrations Around The South For Big Fun

My family truly loves the 4th of July, Independence Day in the United States. It  commemorates our Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 which declared us free from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

My love for it came throughout childhood and from the memories created when I was a child and the memories recreated with my child and his friends. The United States goes all out to celebrate July 4th. No matter how big or small the city there will be some form of celebration usually in form of a parade, a cookout, a concert and more ending with fireworks.

We have always done the fourth of July big! Whether going to a big celebration or planning a simple one of our own. We have been fortunate enough to celebrate the Fourth of July in some very nice celebrations throughout the country and I want to share these Southeast celebrations with you.

Atlanta, Georgia – Presents a day full of celebrations starting with the Peachtree Road Race. The Peachtree Road Race is really a big deal for all ages whether you are running, walking, volunteering and cheering. After the race there are 4th of July activities around town with a special focus on Centennial Park, Six Flags Over Georgia and Stone Mountain. SunTrust Park will even get in on the fireworks fun. All provide a full day of fun for all ages and spectacular fireworks. If you are looking for a more relaxing day yet still want to see all the fireworks book a room at the Georgian Terrace and head to the rooftop pool to view fireworks from all over the city.
