UGA Summer Academy Camps (Athens) UGA’s camps offers a plethora of unique camps for middle and high school kids. These specialty camps allow kids to experience dream jobs in a hands-on, practical manner. Here are seven awesome offerings through UGA.

Camp Rockmont (Black Mountain, Ga.) Although not in Georgia, Camp Rockmont is a favorite of Georgia families. This Christian centered camp offers a traditional overnight camp experience for boys.

Athens Y Camp/Camp Chattooga (Tallulah Falls) A tradition since 1898- 600 beautiful acres in the North Georgia mountains. Athens Y Camps for boys and Camp Chattooga for girls are tucked in between Tallulah Falls and Lake Rabun.

YMCA Camp High Harbour (Cartersville & Clayton) Campers live in cabins each with waterfront views. They enjoy a general camp program, Pathfinders and two specialty camps on Lake Allatoona or Lake Burton.

Camp Juliette Low (Cloudland) Juliette Gordon Low, founder of this camp and of the Girl Scouts, picked the location of CJL herself. CJL provides campers with fun and exciting ways to become more confident and competent, individually and in groups.

Camp Woodmont (Cloudland) Camp Woodmont is a traditional overnight summer camp for boys and girls ages 6-14, located on 170 acres of beautiful North Georgia woodlands on top of Lookout Mountain.

Charlie Elliot Residential Camp (Mansfield) Five overnight camp sessions offer bird and nature sessions on Sapleo or LSSI, team challenge sessions, Garden Club Camp, adventures in conservation or and expanded and improved shooting sports camp.

Peacebuilders Camp (Americus) Peacebuilders Camp at Koinonia Farm is a unique overnight summer camp in rural south Georgia where youth ages 11 to 14 spend a week together learning how to work toward peace and justice.

Camp Dixie (Clayton) Camp Dixie is a traditional summer camp for boys and girls located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. For 100 years, generations of families have enjoyed the traditions and shared the memories of their summers at Camp Dixie.

Camp WinShape (Various locations) Established in 1985 in Mt. Berry, Ga., WinShape provides a camp experience that enables campers to sharpen their character, deepen their Christian faith and grow in their relationships with others.

Trinity Sports Camps (Atlanta) Elementary aged children enjoy basketball, cooperative challenges, flag football, hockey, kickball, lacrosse, pool/water activities, soccer, and more!

Universal Tennis Camp (7 locations in Atlanta and Cumming) UTA has trained all levels of players from ALTA champions and NCAA champions to touring professionals in a fun, exciting and educational environment.Camp activities at all location include tennis instruction, drills, games theme events; golf instruction/play at Bobby Jones Golf course (Bitsy Grant); Swimming (Chastain and Piedmont)

Circus Camp (Various locations) Circus Camp is a day-camp experience designed to introduce children to circus, performing, and visual arts in a safe and noncompetitive environment. Camper age begins at 5 years old and includes teens.

Atlanta Braves Baseball Camp (Various locations) Kids love Atlanta Braves youth baseball camps being held throughout the metro Atlanta area for boys and girls ages 5-13. In addition to a baseball curriculum tailored to each age group, campers will be treated to unforgettable experiences such as a field trip to Turner Field and meeting a current Braves player or alumni. Each camper will also receive an official Braves uniform and take home an autographed photo and two tickets to a select Braves home game.

PGA Junior Golf Camp (Macon and Suwanee) Each camp location has been hand-selected and identified as courses which are favorable and geared to the learning experience for young golfers. And we also have selected the very finest junior golf instructors available. Overnight camps now available.

The Equestrian Reserve (Alpharetta) Fun filled days of riding instruction and fun horse activities, with an emphasis on skill building, safety and responsibility. From beginner riders to sessions for those who want to be junior instructors.

Camp Misty Mountain (Armuchee) Camp Misty Mountain, established in 1971, is Georgia’s Girl Scout Camp. It offers 800 acres of fields, forests, water, and is nestled against the Appalachian Mountains, with horsemanship classes, wrangling lessons and more.

Georgia SkyZone Camp (Roswell) This week-long summer camp combines healthy exercise with awesome fun. Sky Camp activities include open trampoline jumping on Sky Zone courts, 3-D Dodgeball, age-appropriate Sky Fitness, games, activities and crafts. Sky Camp provides a daily snack and lunch.

Georgia Gymnastics Camp (Lawrenceville and Suwanee) All camps are managed by well-trained and enthusiastic staff members that provide your child with fun, exciting experiences to remember. Your child will enjoy well-structured and supervised gymnastics activities, games, movies, and arts & crafts.

Haverty Hollow Preschool Camp (Atlanta) Campers at the Preschool Camp (ages 3-5 yo) will choose from a variety of activities throughout the day such as arts and crafts, cooking, tumbling, outside games, drama, music, and an optional swim time. Before and After Camp Care are not available.

Camp Kingfisher (Roswell) Owlets Camp, a half-day camp experience for 4-year-olds, is designed from the ground up to be an introduction to best nature camp in Atlanta. Look forward to shorter hikes, plenty of outdoor free play, swimming, and live animal encounters!

Superhero Junior Camp (Atlanta) This fun and creative introduction to performance and theater is designed specifically for ages 4-6. The program does not require reading skills and is active and engaging for younger campers. Campers engage in mask and costume creation, and other art projects based on characters and poetry from Shakespeare’s plays.

Club SciKidz (Various locations) This was my son’s first camp at age 4. Campers that are 4 and 5 year olds enjoy experiments and projects in science, technology, and engineering.

Summer Safari Camp (Atlanta) Zoo Atlanta provides many summer camp options for potty-trained 4 year olds through 8th graders. All camps are set-up on a weekly basis. Themes change week to week.

Creative Play Camp at Alliance Theatre (Various locations) The 3-yo camp is inspired by the Theatre for the Very Young installation of Babies in Space!: Blink, Blink, Twinkle. It is half-day; children must be potty trained. In this half day camp students will explore the characters of the galaxy, learn about the three tools of the actor: body, voice, and imagination and listen, share, and retell stories about our favorite out of this world creatures.

The 4-yo camp is much like the 3-yo camp except that it lasts all day and explores the topics a little deeper. In addition to the theme Babies in Space!: Blink, Blink, Twinkle, there is also a session on Very Eric Carle, which further explores the works of Eric Carle which are coming to High Museum in April.

Little Sapling Camps (Buford) Little Saplings camp will open up the outdoor world for 2- and 3- year olds by initiating creative exploration and play in the EHC forest. Crafts, a forest walk and a conservation theme will be highlighted at each session of this camp. This camp requires an adult to join in camp activities with their child each day.
