From artisan and handcrafted chocolate bars, to lolli-kabobs and even candy-infused liqueurs, at a unique Atlanta bar. Here are our picks for the top 15 candy stores in Atlanta and the sweet treats you can expect to find in them.

The Chocolaterie Luxury Chocolates

The Chocolaterie in Historic Downtown Duluth has been offering locals much more than “just chocolate” for the past decade. On the menu – artisan chocolates, such as handmade and hand-painted chocolate truffles (I’ve tried them; they’re delicious!), made from non-GMO and hormone-free milk and cream.

Over 50 different high-quality confections can be purchased by the pound, for the perfect souvenir, business gifts, or party favors. In addition to candy, they offer handmade ice cream. Flavors are changed up to four times a week and listed on the website. Dairy-free options available. Closed Mondays.

Lolli and Pops

Located inside two popular Atlanta shopping malls is “an encyclopedia of the world’s finest candies and confections”. Lolli and Pops, the “Purveyors of Sweetness”, is an absolute treat and family favorite. I have the frequent buyer card to prove it!

When you enter the store, you’ll immediately notice a glass display, filled with truffles and macarons. (Try the birthday cake — it’s delectable!) One entire wall is dedicated to both milk and dark chocolate candies to add to your bag or gummy bear-shaped to-go container. The back wall offers gummy candies, both sweet and sour, displayed next to a giant golden gummy bear (the perfect photo opp).

Nostalgic for a candy from your childhood? Chances are good that they offer it. They’ve even got treats from around the world. And if all of this sugar is making you thirsty pick up a drink or specialty glass soda pop on your way to check out. Can’t make it to the store? Visit the website for beautiful and creative boxed gifts, starting at $29 plus shipping, perfect for birthday and wedding gifts. Other items available for order online as well.
