As soon as Halloween is over, it’s time to find the best places to take pictures with Santa! Here’s a round up of where to see the jolly man in red (or green). If you’re looking for an African American Santa, we have those listed too. Unless otherwise noted, there are no fees to visit with Santa, but professional pictures are additional.

 Note for the attractions, there is a fee to enter, but visiting with Santa is free with admission.

Pictures with Santa in Atlanta Area for Christmas

Atlantic Station

Santa will be visiting Atlantic Station in Central Park. Visit the jolly old man himself in his cozy cottage, nestled near the 50-foot tall Christmas tree.  Children can share their holiday wish list and get a professional photo taken with Old St. Nick. Santa will arrive at 12noon on November 18th, prior to the Lighting of Atlantic Station. Anyone who makes a photo purchase will receive a free pair of Santa’s Magic Glasses to enjoy the holiday lights and Snow Shows in a whole new way!

And don’t forget the special Santa days. Kids can participate in Storytime, or have breakfast with the big man in red. Fur babies aren’t left out either; Atlantic Station has several pet pics with Santa dates. Check the Atlantic Station events calendar for the latest.

Phipps Plaza

November 1 – December 24
Families and friends are invited to take a photo and list off the top selections on their wish lists with jolly Saint Nicholas! Reservations for Santa photos are only available at santaatphipps.com. Note: No walk-up or stand in line visits will be allowed. This is a reservations-only Santa, as he is one of the most popular St. Nicks in Atlanta.


The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta

Tree Lighting Spectacular is on Saturday, November 11. Festivities run from 6 – 9 p.m. in Center Court, featuring live entertainment, lots of free goodies, crafts and special visits from Cindy Lou Who, The Grinch, Mrs. Claus, and the man of the moment with a few of his holiday helpers.

Westside Provision Shopping District

Join Seed Factory at Westside Provisions to meet Santa on Saturday, December 2nd. Santa and two of his reindeer will make way to the Westside Provisions property. After taking a trip around the festive grounds, Santa will settle into Seed Factory from 10AM-4PM. The children’s boutique will be ornamented in holiday cheer to welcome Mr. Claus and his visitors for wish list sharing, free digital photos.

Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market invites visitors to take photos with Santa as well as the Grinch! Atlanta’s historic community destination in Old Fourth Ward announces its 2017 holiday spectacular. Help the Grinch’s heart grow through the power of community. Expect three weeks of mischief all over the city of Atlanta, culminating in a “naughty vs. nice” Beltline face-off between Santa and the Grinch on Friday after Thanksgiving before the duo settles into their respective thrones on the second floor of Ponce City Market to greet their fans. The boldest holiday celebration in the Southeast is always free and open to the public.

NAUGHTY VS. NICE PARADE – Are you naughty or nice? It’s time to choose a team! Will it be Team Santa or Team Grinch? . If you’re feeling naughty, the public is invited to meet him at The Shed at Ponce City Market at 10:30am on Friday, Nov. 24th, with raucous brass/hip-hop band JohnBoy & SurroundSound and his merry band of misfits in tow. Follow the Green Grand Marshall as he leads community participants with LED balloons. Feeling kinder? March with Santa instead on team nice! The parade will culminate with a grand finale arrival at Ponce City Market for the official holiday kickoff at noon.

SANTA CLAUS PHOTOS. Visitors can take photos with Santa while enjoying a rotating roster of choirs, musicians, and other festive weekend entertainers. Hot cocoa, peppermint bark, holiday popsicle flavors, cider, and more will be available from Williams Sonoma, King of Pops, and the Mercury to enjoy around cozy fire pits, and Santa’s hours will be 10:30AM-6PM on Nov 24-26, Dec 17, and Dec 21-24, and 3PM-9PM on Dec 2-3, Dec 9-10, and Dec 16.

Christmas at Silver City Farm

Go back in time with your family this Christmas, in Cumming at Silver City Farm. A gourmet breakfast is included in your ticket price. There’s also live music and cookie decorating. You’ll spend time with Santa for the ultimate photo (and a little time to remind him of your holiday list.) You’ll go home with a printed photo and memories to last a lifetime. Dec 9 and 10th, 2017 9:30am – 2pm. Admission: $18 for adults, $12 for kids 1 year and older. (Children under 12 months old are free of charge.)


Vinings Jubilee

The Vinings Jubilee Christmas Tree Lighting is a great way to start the holiday season! There will be music and dance performances and delicious treats will be provided by surrounding restaurants. There will also be seasonal face painting, holiday-themed balloon twisting, and ornament decorating. Last but not least, Santa will also make an appearance and be available for photos and gift requests while two Vinings Express Trains will make stops all around Vinings Jubilee. Free.


The Avenue Forsyth

The Collection’s Annual Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting will be held on Sunday, November 26th at The Collection Forsyth featuring musical guests Cole Thannisch and Allie Odom. There will be photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, activities for kids of all ages, complimentary carriage rides, and a lively countdown to light-up the beautiful Christmas tree! The Holiday Celebration will begin at 4pm and the tree lighting will happen at twilight.


Stone Mountain Christmas

Each evening Santa makes his grand entrance during the 6 pm parade and greets children until the Snowfall Celebration begins. There is a fee to enter Stone Mountain Christmas, but no additional fee to see Santa (although pictures are extra and you may not use your own camera). In addition to visiting Santa, kids can also visit the Snow Queen prior to her nightly “flight”. Candlelight Tours at Atlanta History Center

Ho-ho-ho! Experience Christmas past with a candlelit stroll through beautifully decorated gardens.  Guests are welcomed by a lively Christmas Market filled with local crafts and artisanal creations. Visit the three historic houses to experience how Southerners celebrated Christmas during the pioneer days, the Civil War era, and the 1930s. Members can visit the Candlelight Tours Lounge for exclusive benefits including photos with Santa, cookie and ornament decorating and more. Bass Pro Shop

For the ninth year, Bass Pro Shop welcomes families to their massive Christmas village transformation starting at 5pm on November 11, 2017. It will feature free photos with Santa and free family holiday activities including crafts, games and holiday magic for the whole family.

To avoid the lines at Bass Pro Shop Santa’s Wonderland, schedule Santa time using the free Bass Pass system (similar to Disney’s Fast Pass system). Just visit the Bass Pass Ticket Depot located at the entrance of Santa’s Wonderland to pick up a time-stamped pass and return at the time marked. All visitors receive a free 4 x 6 studio-quality photo and a custom Christmas video to share online with family and friends. Free Bass Pass reservations are available in-store on a first-come, first-served basis. Weeknights have the most availability.

Atlanta Falcons Game – Toys for Tots Event

Come out to Mercedes Benz Stadium Sunday, December 18th for the annual Toys for Tots Event. The hometown Atlanta Falcons are taking on the Tamp a Bay Buccaneers for a Sunday Night Football match up. Game starts at 8:45 pm. You may even see Santa Rick who will be on hand when the gates open collecting toys for Toys for Tots and taking free pictures with fans.

Santa at Avalon

Ho! Ho! Ho! Join jolly Old Saint Nick in his cozy cottage at Avalon for a dose of Christmas magic this holiday season! Santa will be making his way from the North Pole starting November 20th through December 24th.  He will be around for the holiday season to spread Christmas cheer, take photos with children and families, share magical moments with those who visit him and more.  Santa reservations are already sold out for the year as of November 11th, but walk ups are available every day. Note: personal camera photos are only allowed if you are purchasing photos.

One of the most unique things about this Santa experience is that it can be super personal. Santa at Avalon uses RFID technology which helps Avalon seamlessly deliver personalized experiences. Parents can stop by Concierge or go online to register their children and pick up an “I Am Santa’s Gift” tag. The registration form includes questions about the child’s name, age, Christmas wishes and even an option to enter requests such as: clean their room, stop fighting with siblings, etc. When the child approaches with the tag, Santa’s iPad – hidden inside his Naughty or Nice book – populates with the child’s registration form, allowing for a magical conversation between Santa and the child.

Don’t miss the easiest way to visit Santa—just reserve your time and skip the line at Cumberland Mall! You can save $5 on photos when you book between Monday and Wednesday (through December 9th). Want to create a ‘fur-rever’ memory with your 4 legged family member? Bring your dog or cat to get their photo with Santa! Pet Nights will be on Mondays from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (November 20 – December 11).

Georgia Tech Alumni Presents Santa Buzz

On November 19, 2017, Georgia Tech fans can take advantage of the opportunity to get the family portrait taken with Buzz! There is a cost of $25/family. Your professional, high quality digital photo will be emailed to you for unrestricted use after the event. Photos will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis but families who pre-pay will be given priority in line upon arrival.

Photos with Buzz will begin at 4:00pm.  Your payment helps support scholarships to Georgia Tech! Go Jackets!


Lenox Square

Macy’s 70th Annual Great Tree Lighting, an iconic holiday tradition in Atlanta, will take place on Sunday, November 19 at 7 p.m. at Macy’s Lenox Square. The 70th Anniversary celebration will feature live performances by Grammy award-winning singer CeeLo Green, rising country singer RaeLynn, Atlanta native and “America’s Got Talent” runner-up Angelica Hale, and contemporary Christian band Casting Crowns. The event will conclude with a fantastic fireworks finale. The Great Tree will be lit from Sunday, November 19 through January 1, 2018.

The annual Christmas Open House is on November 9, 2017 to celebrate the beginning of the most wonderful season of all.  They will showcase beautiful holiday decorations for your home and gifts that anyone would love to give or receive.

Mall of Georgia

Head to Mall of Georgia on Saturday November 19, 2017 for their  Tree Lighting event. Spend the day in the Village, enjoy live performances, and stay for the Movies Under the Stars presentation of The Polar Express. Marietta’s Winter Wonderland &  Santa on the Square

After kicking off the holiday season with the Marietta Square Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, November 30, 2017, Santa’s Workshop opens in Glover Park in Marietta Square. Bring the kids to visit the Winter Wonderland on on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in December starting December 1, 2017. There will also be an opportunity for pet photos with Santa on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4p.m. to 9p.m.

Santa has made his way from the North Pole and is ready to greet children of all ages starting on November 11, 2017.

American Girl Welcomes Santa: November 25, December 3 and 10

Share a holiday experience that includes a jolly “ho-ho-ho!” Santa is coming to the store, and he can’t wait to meet you and your girl. Whispering her wishes is an exciting holiday tradition, and a special pose with St. Nick is the perfect photo opportunity. You can bring your camera to capture the moment! Enjoy a delicious meal during your visit, too. This event is offered every 15 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Duration of event is 1 hour.

Perimeter Mall

Santa arrives at Perimeter Mall at 11 a.m. on November 11, 2017. He will be available for photos through December 24th. You can save $5 on photos when you book between Monday and Wednesday (through December 9th). Photos and reservations are not required for visiting Santa.

While you’re there, visit the Nintendo Holiday Experience! Visit Perimeter Mall from November 11 to December 17 to try out the hit Nintendo Switch system and the portable Nintendo 3DS family of systems, along with some of their top games. The Nintendo Holiday Experience has something for everyone and will be an event the whole family can enjoy!

Atlanta Botanical Gardens: Botanical St. Nick

Meet Saint Nick clad in his dark green robe and botanical head wreath on Saturdays starting on November 25th.  Bring a camera to take your own photos. Time with Santa is included with daily admission. Save some time for a spin around the Great Lawn on the Botanical Express Ride-on-Train!


Georgia Aquarium: Festival of the SEAson

For the tenth year in a row, guests can catch sight of SCUBA Claus diving into Ocean Voyager Built by The Home Depot and swimming among the whale sharks, manta rays and thousands of fish during the dive shows every Thursday through Sunday until December 25. If you’d rather see Santa on the other side of the water, he has scheduled times in the Georgia Aquarium atrium from November 18th through December 24th. There’s more than just Santa!

Wake Up Santa: November 18 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

This is one of the cutest and most unique Santa experiences in Atlanta. Kids get to help wake up Santa Claus to ring in the holidays. There are lots of interactive activities, holiday snacks and of course a Santa meet and greet with every guest. Advanced registration required. Admission does not include aquarium admission.  Cost: Members and Employees: $9.95 per person, Non-Members: $12.95 per person, Children 0-12 months: Free

Breakfast with Santa: December 16th, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Start a holiday tradition by enjoying Breakfast with Santa and whale sharks, manta rays and Tank the sea turtle! Enjoy a delicious breakfast provided by our fantastic chefs at Wolfgang Puck Catering, write a letter to Santa and hand-deliver it, enjoy a holiday craft and spend some quality time with jolly ol’ St. Nick. Magical Nights of Lights at Lake Lanier

This is the 25th anniversary of Magical Nights of Lights and the folks at Lake Lanier will be bringing you best light show ever!  Starting on November 17th and continuing through January 3rd, families can experience this drive-thru light display. Be on the lookout for the massive 65-foot Universal Christmas Tree at the clock tower roundabout.

After you travel through the amazing light show, share the spirit of the season with the kids, as they meet St. Nick at Santa’s Workshop. You can keep warm during the cold temperature with hot chocolate, S’mores kits and roasting marshmallows over a fire pit.

In addition, there is also a full carnival experience with 16 thrilling rides guaranteeing fun for all ages! All carnival rides require tickets, and some have height requirements.

20th Annual Santa at Rhodes Hall

Skip the malls, avoid the long lines, and have a memorable Santa experience for the entire family at the 20th Annual Santa at Rhodes Hall weekends from December 2nd through December 17th. Families can relax and delight in a winter wonderland at the gorgeous “Castle on Peachtree,” enjoying holiday music, delicious refreshments and exciting art activities, while the little ones whisper their wish lists to Santa during personal appointments. The $40 per family admission fee includes custom 5×7 portrait with Santa.
SENSORY SANTA NIGHTWednesday, December 6, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
“Sensory Santa” is a sensory friendly event for children with autism and other sensory challenges. This special evening will provide the opportunity for children to connect with Santa in a special way and in a welcoming environment.

SANTA AT RHODES HALL – PET NIGHT: Friday, December 8, 5-7 p.m.

Pet Night is a one-night only personal appointment with Santa at Rhodes Hall for your pets. As long as your pets are friendly and well behaved, they’re invited! Both children and pets are allowed in pictures. This is a pets-required event, so guests without pets should reserve a regular Santa appointment. Pet Night is $30 per family and does NOT have crafts or food.


Waggy World Dog Park

Come paws; come all! You and your pet(s) can be photographed with Santa Claus! This holiday pet portraiture is a special bonding experience between owners and their pets. It can make the perfect greeting card, original gift or heartfelt keepsake. Certain restrictions apply for pets. Free! December 10 / 12pm-2:30pm (weather permitting)


Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta

On December 3 from 1pm to 5pm, families can have a memorable keepsake photo taken with Santa and then sip on hot cocoa and sample holiday treats. The event is priced at $75 per family including parking. For booking information, please email moatl-rsvp@mohg.com.


Alpharetta Welcome Center

Get your holiday photo taken for free at the Alpharetta Welcome Center, 178 South Main Street, Suite 200, on December 2, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Stop in for an individual or family photo with Santa and have the photo printed and emailed to you to share with friends and family. This is a free event and refreshments will be served. No reservations required. No pets please. The photographer will be using a “green screen” so it is recommended that attendees not wear green.


Santa on the Square in Downtown Newnan: November 24, 6 to 8 p.m.

Come see Santa Claus light the Christmas tree in the Newnan downtown square. Be sure to bring a camera to take your own photos. Free.


Santa at The Battery ATL

Come see Santa Claus inside the new park surrounding SunTrust Stadium. Santa will make an appearance at The Battery weekends starting November 18. Best of all,  it’s FREE and includes one free print of your photo with the big guy.


Photos with Santa at The Warren City Club

Take a peek inside the exclusive Warren City Club at this photo session with Santa. Each $30 ticket is for a visit with Santa and photo session that can include your whole family, up to 5 people. Tickets are available in hourly time slots. Families can choose to enjoy a family-friendly brunch offering that day in addition to their photo time with Santa. Note: Brunch is not included in the photo session cost.

    The Annual Tree Lighting Spectacular at The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta will be held THIS Saturday, November 11 from 6 -9pm in Center Court. Join for live entertainment, lots of free goodies, and special visits from Cindy Lou Who, The Grinch, Mrs. Claus, and Santa!
