I love Skyline Park. I mean, really, it’s one of my favorite places in the city…from the skyline view to the beer garden to the old-school games and carnival fare. And for Spring, they’ve really got my number. You’re going to love this.
The PCM rooftop is celebrating their inaugural Spring Fling event on Saturday, April 1, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Yeah – that’s cool. But here is what I really love…there are TWO PARTS to this event!
Part 1: Family Fun — 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Aside for the carnival games and rooftop putt-putt, there will be a host of other family activities…face painting, balloon artists, bubble machines and photo opportunities with life-size garden fairies.
Midway games range from $1-3…and this event allows you unlimited access to Skyline Park’s acclaimed Heege Tower and three-story slide.
For hungry kiddos (and parents) feast on specialty snow cones, as well yummy carnival fare, including short rib sandwiches, gourmet popcorn, salted soft pretzels, and famous “walking taco” — a snack-size bag of Fritos, opened up and filled with braised beef, pico de gallo, and avocado. (OMG, I know, right!??!)
Daytime admission will be $10 for adults and children. Children under three are free.
Part 2: Adults Only — 4 to 11 p.m.
Before the sun sets, the rooftop children will scamper off to their beds….and it will come alive for adults only!
Live performers, live music, spring themed decor, and photo booth opportunities will take you though the night. DJ Grace will spin tunes live from 7 to 11 p.m.
Oh, don’t worry, there will still be snow cones…but they’ll be spiking them with adult accompaniments. You’ll also find a selection of local beers on tap and signature cocktails, such as the park’s infamous Bourbon slushie, “Pemberton’s Frozen Julep,” and “Ponce Park Cup.” PS – the Pemberton’s Frozen is my fave!
Evening admission will be $20 and open to guests 21 years old and up.
