Vacation Outfits from Aventura
Warm weather is here. It’s time to start thinking about vacation outfits for spring and summer. Yay!
I am very excited to share that this season I am serving as an Aventura Ambassador. A friend of mine turned me on to Aventura a few years ago. It didn’t take long for me to notice that every time we headed out on a family travel adventure, my suitcase with filled with Aventura clothing…so transitioning to an ambassador made perfect sense. Now, I can’t wait to share them with you!
Aventura fits perfectly into my lifestyle. The clothes are comfortable, relaxing and easy to wear. They work for me in every facet of my life as mom, hiker, adventure-seeker and lover of Mother Earth. The Aventura aim is to create clothes with a low environmental impact, utilize sustainable fabrics and offer organics when they can.
I highly recommend signing up for their #AventuraLife loyalty program (it’s free.) You’ll receive notice of early bird sales, sneak peeks, gifts and more. PLUS, their men’s eco-friendly clothing line, Ecōths, is available for your main squeeze. More on that in a few weeks.
With that, I am prepping for a few upcoming beach trips and this is what you’ll find in my suitcase. I hope this gives you some ideas about what your next vacation outfits should look like!
Strolling on the beach
This is the ideal beach strolling outfit, but I’ll be honest- I love this outfit for any activity!! If I could have it in seven colors, I would wear it everyday.
The Neema Hoodie is burnout jersey. I love the sleeves that can be worn down or rolled up with a clasp. And don’t worry about the long sleeves in the Georgia temps; this fabric is so light and airy you won’t notice.
The Addie Capri is one of two capri selections from Aventura, but this one has a slightly higher rise (which this mid-40s chick appreciates!) It is also organic fabric with a brushed finish, and has button closures if you want to roll them up like pedal pushers for the beach.
Seeing the sights
Ready to visit a few museums, take stroll in an historic square or watch the dolphins on a short cruise? The Mallory Dress is great! The cotton polyester is breathable and it doesn’t wrinkle. My favorite part? Adorable ribbing that gives it shape and panache, while still casual and comfy.
Because of the ribbing, I avoided a necklace and opted for a scarf. The Genevieve Scarf has a beautiful watercolor vibe happening, and it is 100% modal, which is a rayon-type fabric made from Beech trees that lays so beautifully. You have to touch it to believe it!
Finally, match it with a paper straw Samantha Bag. It’s HUGE – perfect for carrying home all your souvenirs. I also have this in brown and love to take that one to the beach!
Grabbing a bite
Ready for dinner? Grab the Ashby Maxi Dress, which is 60% organic cotton (plus a little jersey to make it hang well.) The wrap-style bodice is great for any body type, and the paisley pattern on the bottom dresses it up a tad.
In case the restaurant is chilly (or your nursing a sunburn,) bring the Kyle Wrap top. Ruching on the sleeves and an asymmetrical line give it just the pop you need.
Finish it off with the Rue Scarf – also made of the soft and flowing modal fabric that I cannot live without! The pretty polka dots are a fun match to the maxi’s paisley.
